| Background: On June 12, 1967, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of Richard and Mildred Loving and overturned all laws that prevented interracial marriages. The Loving Decision Celebration is the annual event organized by OCMA to commemorate the historic court decision. We are dedicated to building community among families and individuals acting on values of equality, diversity and multiculturalism. |

If you or anyone you know is located in the Los Angeles, Chicago, Eugene, Berkeley, or New York areas, please come out to join the national Loving v Virginia celebrations in June. These events will commemorate the 39th anniversary that marked the end of miscegenation laws that once banned interracial marriage in the United States. Hope you can make it!
